[09-27-2023] Fresno County, CA – 12-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Car Collision on Olive Avenue

A 12-year-old female pedestrian was hospitalized after getting hit by a car in Fresno on Wednesday morning, September 27, 2023.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred on Olive Avenue and 9th Street near Yosemite Middle School at around 7:30 a.m.

Authorities stated that the pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk when a 17-year-old male driver struck her while making a turn.

The young man claims not to have seen her and was cited for driving without a license. He is currently cooperating with the police.

The young girl sustained moderate injuries and was initially treated at the scene by firefighters. She was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment upon her parents’ arrival.

Drugs or alcohol were not considered a factor in the collision, and further details have yet to be released.
