An unidentified pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles in a hit-and-run collision in Oakland on Tuesday night, September 26, 2023.
According to the Oakland Police Department, the fatal crash occurred on International Boulevard around 9:30 p.m.
A suspected stolen vehicle reportedly struck the pedestrian while traveling westbound. Following the first vehicle’s maneuver, another vehicle struck the pedestrian. The victim was found dead on the scene, but his identity was not revealed.
The collision’s impact disabled the stolen vehicle, which made its occupants flee the scene on foot. The second vehicle also apparently fled the scene.
Officers stated that the first vehicle was stolen from a neighboring city. The suspected driver was found and taken into custody.
