A pedestrian was killed in a collision with a vehicle on a freeway transition road from the northbound 405 Freeway to the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach on Thursday evening, September 25, 2025.
According to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig, officers responded around 9:24 p.m. and found the victim lying on the side of the transition road. The victim, whose name, gender, and age were not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP closed the transition road for approximately three and a half hours while investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
