[09-24-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Long Beach

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by an unknown vehicle in a hit-and-run collision in Long Beach on Thursday morning, September 24, 2026.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash occurred at around 7:11 a.m. on westbound Anaheim Street, just east of the 710 Freeway on the Anaheim Street bridge over the Los Angeles River.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not immediately release the man’s age or identity.

The Long Beach Police Department continues to investigate the hit-and-run crash.
