[09-23-2026] Riverside County, CA – Semi-Truck Driver Injured in Collision Involving Two Big Rigs in Desert Center

A semi-truck driver suffered injuries after two big rigs collided in Desert Center, Riverside County, early Wednesday morning, September 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. on the eastbound Interstate 10.

CHP’s preliminary investigation indicated that a big rig traveling at an unspecified speed struck the rear of another big rig that was parked on the right shoulder. The collision caused one of the trucks to overturn. One driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

CHP said alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
