[09-23-2024] Woman in Wheelchair Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car on Willow AvenueA woman in a wheelchair was hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by a car in southeast Fresno on Monday morning, September 23, 2024.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Willow and Laurel avenues.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the woman lying in the roadway. The footage from the scene shows officers assisting the victim into an ambulance, with her wheelchair left on the road. 

The woman was transported to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition. The vehicle driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. 

The identities of those involved in the crash have not yet been officially released. 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
