The emergency response team was dispatched following a multiple-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Union City on Friday morning, September 22, 2023.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, officers responded to the collision on Interstate 880 North, just south of the Whipple Road offramp, at around 6:22 a.m.

Authorities stated that the hit-and-run crash involved a silver Ford Escape, a white Honda Civic, a gray Infiniti sedan, and another unidentified vehicle. All vehicles involved were positioned on the right-hand side of the northbound lanes of I-880.
