A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Interstate 880 in East Oakland on Friday evening, September 18, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 8:15 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880, just south of 29th Avenue.
