Two passengers were hospitalized after an Alfa Romeo SUV crashed into a tree near Woodley Avenue and Burbank Boulevard, close to the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Encino, Los Angeles, on Thursday night, September 18, 2025.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate one passenger from the vehicle. A second passenger was also transported to a hospital. The conditions of both passengers have not been reported.
After striking the tree, the driver of the SUV fled the scene. Debris, including a tire, was scattered near the crash site, and the vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
