An elderly woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Ventura on Wednesday night, September 18, 2024.
The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. at East Thompson Boulevard and South Palm Street, where the woman was crossing the road when she was hit.
The driver pulled over and cooperated with officers at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she is in critical condition and expected to undergo surgery.
As of Thursday evening, the woman, believed to be in her mid-70s, remained hospitalized in critical condition, as stated by police Cmdr. Mike Brown.
