[09-18-2023] Placer County, CA – Five People Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Crash in Auburn

Five people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in Auburn on Monday afternoon, September 18, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol Auburn Division, the crash happened around 2:45 p.m. along Interstate 80 near the Maple Street exit.

A gold Ford SUV was heading westbound when it slammed into the center divider and rolled over several times before stopping.

The 30-year-old female driver of the SUV suffered major injuries, while the 39-year-old front passenger sustained a leg fracture. The two adults were transported to a local hospital along with three children ages 2, 8, and 9.

Further details on the crash have yet to be released by the authorities.
