[09-18-2023] Alameda County, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-680 Causes Temporary Traffic Disruption

A multi-vehicle collision caused temporary traffic disruption in Alameda County on Monday morning, September 18, 2023.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, at around 11:44 a.m., authorities received a call regarding the collision on southbound Interstate 680 near the Andrade Road off-ramp.

Authorities stated that four vehicles were involved in the incident, with the green Dodge Dakota and gray BMW being the primary vehicles impacted. Officials said the Dodge and BMW ended up on the right-hand side of the southbound lanes.

Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) announced they had successfully cleared the scene, allowing traffic to return to normal gradually.

The authorities have not disclosed any other information, including what caused the crash and the possible injuries suffered by the people involved.
