[09-17-2026] Alameda County, CA – 73-Year-Old Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle in Hayward

A 73-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Hayward on Thursday morning, September 17, 2026.

According to the Hayward Police Department, the incident was reported shortly before 11:00 a.m. near the intersection of Kelly Street and Bayview Avenue in the Upper B Street neighborhood.

Medical personnel transported the woman to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities did not release her identity.

Police said the 48-year-old man driving the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.

Authorities said drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
