Ambulances were dispatched after a moving truck collided with a big rig in San Luis Obispo County on Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 10:39 a.m. on Highway 101 on the Cuesta Grade, south of TV Tower Road.

A Penske rental truck collided with a big rig, pulling two trailers blocking the No. 2 and No. 3 lanes. The collision caused the truck’s body to separate from its cab, spilling contents across the highway.

The extent of the injuries was unknown.
