[09-17-2023] Alameda County, CA – Driver Killed Following Multi-Vehicle Hit-And-Run Collision in Hayward

One driver died after a hit-and-run in Hayward early Sunday morning, September 17, 2023.

The Hayward Police Department arrived at the area and found three vehicles near the 27000 block of Huntwood Avenue at approximately 12:50 a.m.

The first vehicle’s sole occupant was found uninjured, while the second vehicle’s driver sustained injuries and was unconscious while another occupant was found unharmed. The injured victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers found the empty third vehicle nearby, but the unknown driver fled before they could arrive.
