Three people were injured when a Tesla driven by an allegedly drunk driver ran a red light and collided with an SUV, causing a chain reaction crash in downtown Los Angeles on early Saturday morning, September 14, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after midnight in the 900 block of West Olympic Boulevard, near L.A. Live.
The Tesla’s collision with the SUV caused the SUV to veer off the road, striking two pedestrians and a food truck. At least one person was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The driver of the Tesla was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The injured pedestrians were reported to have minor injuries.
