[09-14-2023] Female Motorcyclist Injured Following Vehicle Collision in HesperiaA female motorcyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Hesperia on Thursday evening, September 14, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Mariposa Road, just south of Joshua Street, around 8:30 p.m.

Based on the CHP incident reports, a husband and wife were riding separate motorcycles when the vehicle struck the woman, knocking her to the ground. The incident caused both directions of traffic to back up on Mariposa Road.

The female victim suffered from road rash and could not get up. As a result of the injuries to her left arm and face, she was transported via ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital for treatment.

No information was released regarding the vehicle’s driver. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the accident.
