[09-14-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – 7-Year-Old Pedestrian Boy Killed Following Truck Collision in Colton

A 7-year-old Southern California pedestrian boy was killed after being struck by a truck in Colton on Thursday afternoon, September 14, 2023.

According to the Colton Police Department, the incident occurred in the 800 block of West G Street at around 5:54 p.m.

Authorities stated that Jayce B. was helping his mother set up for a fundraiser before heading to football practice. When he exited their vehicle to cross the street towards the school, he was struck by a truck.

The young boy was transported to a local hospital via ambulance, where he fought to life for two days before succumbing to his injuries on Saturday morning. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

The family said that the crash was classified as an accident and that it was possibly the parent of one of Jayce’s teammates who was behind the wheel.
