[09-13-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – 15-Year-Old Killed, Two Teens Injured in Crash Near Templeton.webpA 15-year-old Paso Robles High School student was killed, and two other teenagers were injured in a crash near Templeton, San Luis Obispo County, on Sunday night, September 13, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. on El Pomar Drive, west of Vaquero Road.

The CHP said 18-year-old Paso Robles resident Jonathan S. was driving a white 2007 Toyota Camry westbound on El Pomar Drive with two passengers when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

A 15-year-old passenger, identified in an earlier school communication as Bentley S, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jonathan and another 15-year-old male passenger from Paso Robles were transported to Adventist Health Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo for treatment.

Authorities said drugs and alcohol were not suspected as factors. The California Highway Patrol’s Templeton office continues to investigate the crash.
