[09-13-2026] Kern County, CA – 55-Year-Old Woman Killed in Head-On Crash Near Frazier Park

A 55-year-old Los Angeles woman died in a head-on collision involving a Toyota Echo and a Ford F-250 near Frazier Park in Kern County on Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded at around 2:20 p.m. to Cuddy Valley Road, west of Ivins Road.

CHP said a preliminary investigation found that the woman was driving a Toyota Echo westbound on Cuddy Valley Road while 57-year-old Sean T. of Frazier Park was driving a Ford F-250 eastbound.

For reasons still under investigation, the Toyota veered off the roadway to the right before overcorrecting to the left and entering the path of the Ford, according to CHP. Authorities said Sean attempted to avoid the Toyota, but the vehicles collided head-on.

The Toyota driver died following the crash. Neither vehicle had passengers. Sean remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The crash remains under investigation.
