[09-13-2025] Woman Killed, Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 86 South of Hoskins RoadA 31-year-old woman was killed and a 58-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 86 south of Hoskins Road in Imperial County on Saturday morning, September 13, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2009 Dodge Caliber southbound in the #2 lane when the woman, driving a 2020 Jeep Gladiator, collided with the rear of his vehicle. 

Both drivers lost control, causing the Jeep to overturn before coming to rest on its wheels in the #2 lane of northbound Highway 86. The man in the Dodge sustained minor injuries, and his passengers were uninjured.

The driver of the Jeep was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Imperial County Coroner’s Office responded and took possession of the deceased. CHP reported that airbags deployed in the Jeep but not in the Dodge, and all occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
