[09-13-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Fatally Struck by Metrolink Train in Santa Clarita

One person was fatally struck by a Metrolink train in Santa Clarita on Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the fatal collision happened around 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Ruether Avenue and Golden Triangle Road.

Authorities stated that the train reportedly struck a man on the tracks between Santa Clarita and Via Princessa stations, forcing the rail lines to close fully.

Officials said a man named Luis H. was found near the accident scene, consoling the girlfriend of the unidentified victim.

No further details were released, and the authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
