A woman and her child were injured when the car she was driving collided with a large parked trailer in La Mesa on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2024.
According to local authorities, the incident occurred at around 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of Parks Avenue and Ohio Place.
The woman reported that she had just dropped off some of her children at school when she fell asleep at the wheel. Her Honda drifted to the right and struck the parked trailer, which was pushed about 60 feet off the roadway.
The woman and her child were transported to local hospitals with injuries, the extent of which remains unknown.
