[09-11-2023] Seven People Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Crash in Baldwin HillsSeven people were injured following a fleeing vehicle that caused a multi-vehicle crash in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles, on Monday afternoon, September 11, 2023.

The Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Fire Department immediately responded to the collision in the 3500 block of Potomac Avenue at around 4:30 p.m.

LAPD officers state that the crash occurred when a driver refused to yield to a traffic stop and fled. Moments later, the vehicle crashed and came in contact with four others at an intersection by Obama Boulevard, injuring seven people.

Investigation indicates that the white vehicle in question sped past a stop sign, leading to the chain of collision, with one vehicle rolling over and crashing into a yard.

All seven crash victims were reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are stable. The three occupants of the white vehicle that caused the crash attempted to flee from authorities but were apprehended within the day.

Upon vehicle inspection, several items were found, including guns, jewelry, ski masks, and other evidence of possible theft.

The LAPD is handling investigations, and all suspects are in custody.
