[09-10-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway in Norwalk

One person was killed, and at least two others were injured following a three-vehicle crash on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Norwalk, Los Angeles County, early Thursday morning, September 10, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 12:10 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue.

Authorities said an Amazon truck, a cargo van, and a car were involved in the crash. The cargo van overturned following the collision.

At least three people were transported to hospitals for treatment. CHP confirmed that one of those patients later died. Authorities did not specify which vehicle the deceased person had occupied or provide information about the conditions of the other patients.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash.
