A 77-year-old pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in a crosswalk in Reedley on Tuesday morning, September 10, 2024.
According to Reedley Police, the collision occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of 10th and G Streets.
The pedestrian, a resident of Reedley, sustained substantial injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Despite medical efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement. There is no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
The name of the victim has not been officially released. The investigation is ongoing.
