[09-10-2023] Orange County, CA – Bicyclist Killed, Two More Involved in Series of Hit-And-Run Collisions in Huntington Beach

A bicyclist was killed, while two more were involved in a series of hit-and-run collisions in Huntington Beach on Sunday evening, September 10, 2023.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Heil Avenue and Springdale Street.

The deceased victim was the second call received by HBPD about a hit-and-run driver intentionally targeting cyclists. The first call was made around 10:00 p.m. near Edwards Street and Brad Drive, where the suspect struck a cyclist on purpose.

About 15 minutes after the second one, the third call was reported near Edwards Street and Warner Avenue, where another cyclist survived the hit but was left shaken afterward. It’s unclear if two of the victims were injured.

The authorities are currently searching for the driver of a black Toyota four-door sedan. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the authorities immediately.
