Five people were involved in a collision between a Mercedes and an ambulance in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, on Wednesday afternoon, September 9, 2026.
The crash occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Boyle Avenue and 4th Street.
Authorities said the ambulance was transporting a patient to a hospital when it collided with the Mercedes. The patient was already in critical condition before the crash occurred.
Officials said four people, including the patient who had been inside the ambulance, were transported from the scene.
Injuries resulting specifically from the collision were described as minor. Authorities did not provide additional information about the other people involved.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
