[09-09-2024] Bicyclist Sustains Life-Threatening Injuries After Collision with Vehicle in PortervilleA Porterville man is suffering from major, life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Porterville, Tulare County, late Monday night, September 9, 2024.

According to the Porterville Police Department, the 38-year-old bicyclist was traveling northbound on Newcomb Street against the flow of traffic in the southbound lane when he collided with a motorist. 

The bicyclist was transported to Kaweah Delta Hospital for treatment. The motorist, who remained at the scene, was uninjured. 

The crash is under investigation by the Porterville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
