[09-07-2025] Six Killed, Two Injured in Solo Vehicle Crash on Pope Valley Road in Pope ValleySix people were killed and two others injured after a minivan crashed into a tree on Pope Valley Road in an unincorporated area of Napa County on Sunday evening, September 7, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 6:00 p.m. at 6198 Pope Valley Road, northeast of Calistoga. 

Officers discovered a Toyota Sienna minivan off the side of the roadway around 5:50 p.m. Investigators believe the southbound vehicle left the roadway for reasons still under investigation and struck a tree.

CHP reported that six people were pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver and one other occupant were airlifted to local trauma centers with major injuries. The driver has been arrested at the hospital on charges of DUI, causing injury, and death.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
