A 12-year-old girl sustained a fractured right femur after the SUV she was in rear-ended a parked box truck in the Roseville/Fleet Ridge area of San Diego on Saturday night, September 7, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of Canon Street.
The 2017 Ford Expedition, driven by a 37-year-old woman, made an unsafe move to the right and struck the rear of a legally parked Econoline box truck.
The driver and three other passengers, who complained of pain, were all transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was not a factor in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
