According to the Pomona Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Mission Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue at approximately 9:55 p.m., where they found the woman in the roadway with severe injuries. Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced her dead.

The driver of the vehicle involved initially left the scene but later turned himself into the Pomona Police Department. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and interviewing the driver involved.
