One person was killed, and two others suffered serious injuries in a crash in Barrio Logan, San Diego County, early Saturday morning, September 5, 2026.
According to the San Diego Police Department, officers responded shortly after 3:00 a.m. to the 2500 block of East Harbor Drive.
Police said a 2018 Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when it veered to the right for an unknown reason. The vehicle struck a parked Kia and multiple fixed objects.
All three occupants of the Charger were ejected and transported to a hospital. One person suffered a traumatic amputation of the right foot and was later pronounced dead.
A second person suffered a traumatic amputation of the right foot, along with multiple burns, abrasions, and lacerations. The third person sustained severe, life-threatening head injuries.
Police said DUI is suspected in the crash. The authorities continue to investigate the fatal crash.
