Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 99 south of Chico on Friday morning, September 5, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just south of the junction with Highway 149 around 7:15 a.m.
The crash involved two sedans and a northbound big rig. One sedan, carrying two brothers who work at a nearby almond orchard, rear-ended the second sedan while attempting a left turn. Both sedans were then pushed into the side of the big rig, which went off the road and crashed into the orchard.
CHP reported that the driver and passenger of one sedan were taken to Enloe Medical Center with pain in the hips, shoulder, and nose. The driver of the second sedan did not initially require hospitalization but planned to seek medical attention. The big rig driver was transported to a hospital with neck pain.
Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor, though distracted driving has not been ruled out. Caltrans and CHP continue to investigate the incident.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
