A Ford SUV was severely damaged after a collision involving a flatbed truck in Fresno County on Thursday morning, September 5, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. on the westbound Highway 180 connector to Highway 99.
Authorities stated that the driver of the Ford SUV was unable to stop due to its speed and collided with the flatbed truck. The SUV scraped along the side of the truck, tearing open the passenger side of the vehicle.
Despite the severity of the crash, the driver of the SUV sustained no injuries, credited to the proper use of a seatbelt. The truck driver reported back pain but was not seriously injured.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
