The California Highway Patrol responded to the collision just after 6:00 a.m. at Highway 162 and Highway 99.

Initial investigation revealed that three vehicles collided with the woman. Upon the arrival of first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said two drivers remained at the scene, but one fled.
