A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle that also collided with a parked car near Via De La Valle and Plaza Valenza in Lake Elsinore on Thursday morning, September 4, 2025.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11:00 a.m. to reports of a major traffic collision. The victim was found lying on the ground with critical injuries. Deputies administered first aid until paramedics arrived, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said a vehicle was traveling southbound on Via De La Valle when it collided with the rear of a parked car and struck a pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of relatives. The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation.
