[09-03-2025] Construction Worker Killed After Being Struck by Trailer at Black Mountain Ranch Work SiteA 23-year-old construction worker was killed after being struck by a trailer at a work site in the Black Mountain Ranch area of San Diego on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, Francisco N. was fatally injured when he stepped off a concrete truck and was struck by a trailer being towed through a construction zone in the 16000 block of Sunny Summit Drive.

Paramedics transported Francisco to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was pronounced dead later in the day.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the construction site accident.
