[09-02-2026] Glenn County, CA – Woman Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured in Rollover Crash Near Willows

A 58-year-old woman was killed, and a passenger suffered major injuries in a rollover crash on Interstate 5 in Willows, Glenn County, on Wednesday night, September 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded around 9:45 p.m. to the northbound I-5 north of State Route 32.

CHP said a 2018 Ram ProMaster van was traveling northbound when it left the east side of the roadway and struck a dirt embankment. The van rolled over and came to rest on its left side with major damage.

Emergency personnel extricated both occupants from the van. The driver, identified as Puthy C., 58, of Tacoma, Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger, Ryna R., 34, also of Tacoma, suffered major injuries and was transported to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.

CHP said the initial investigation indicates that no other vehicles were involved. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to have been factors in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
