A volunteer at a cat adoption center was injured after an SUV crashed into the building near Julian and 15th streets in San Jose on Tuesday afternoon, September 2, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the crash occurred around 1:05 p.m. when two vehicles collided at the intersection, causing one vehicle to veer into The Dancing Cat at 702 East Julian Street. The volunteer sustained a sore arm and was evaluated at the scene. None of the 11 cats inside the center at the time were injured or escaped.
One of the drivers reported minor pain but was not transported to a hospital, and the other driver was uninjured. Police stated that alcohol or drugs do not appear to have played a role in the crash.
The collision caused significant damage to an exterior wall, prompting the center to temporarily close. All cats were relocated to foster homes, and adoptions will continue off-site. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
