[09-02-2025] One Killed, Another Injured After Toyota Collides with Big Rig at Excelsior Avenue and Cedar StreetA driver was killed when their Toyota ran a stop sign and collided with an oncoming big rig near Lemoore on Tuesday morning, September 2, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 11:00 a.m. at Excelsior Avenue and Cedar Street.

The Toyota, traveling south on Cedar Street, failed to stop at Excelsior Avenue. The big rig had the right of way and could not avoid the collision.

Authorities reported that the big rig jackknifed after the impact, knocking out a power pole. PG&E personnel, CHP officers, and Kings County Fire responded to the scene.

The driver of the big rig was taken to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford with minor injuries. The Toyota driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
