A 72-year-old man was killed after being ejected from a farming tractor in a crash near Selma on Monday evening, September 2, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 8:00 p.m. on Floral Avenue near Temperance Avenue. 

Authorities stated that the tractor was traveling eastbound when a pickup truck approached from behind and failed to see it, resulting in a collision.

The force of the impact ejected the tractor driver, who was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities confirmed that the tractor had rear lights, and the pickup truck driver is cooperating with the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
