[09-01-2024] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Multiple Vehicles on Highway 101 Near Madonna InnA 26-year-old pedestrian was killed after reportedly walking into the northbound lane on Highway 101, just south of Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo County, on Sunday evening, September 1, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was first struck by a driver in an old Toyota, who fled the scene. A second vehicle then struck the pedestrian, and the driver of that vehicle remained at the scene and was treated for minor injuries.

The incident is currently being investigated as a hit-and-run.
