[09-01-2023] 59-Year-Old Pedestrian Man Killed After Hit-and-Run Collision in DinubaA 59-year-old pedestrian man was killed following a hit-and-run collision in Dinuba on Friday evening, September 1, 2023.

According to the Dinuba Police Department, the incident occurred on El Monte Way and Dickey Avenue at around 9:20 p.m.

DPD officers arrived at the scene and administered first aid to the pedestrian. The victim suffered major injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Authorities stated that the vehicle, described as a red SUV, struck the man and fled west on El Monte Way. Officials said the suspect, identified as 55-year-old Maria M. of Parlier, and her vehicle were found in Reeley with the help of Reedley Police.

No further details were released regarding the crash, and the deceased’s identity is being withheld pending an active investigation.
