[08-30-2026] Santa Barbara County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Rollover Crash in Santa Maria

A 22-year-old man died, and another person suffered major injuries in a rollover crash in Santa Maria on Sunday night, August 30, 2026.

According to the Santa Maria Police Department, emergency personnel responded around 9:45 p.m. to North Blosser Road at Eagleton Avenue.

Police said the vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the center divider. The driver and passenger were both ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency personnel searched the surrounding area after receiving information that a third person might have been involved, but did not locate another victim.

Both occupants suffered major injuries and were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center. Police later confirmed that a 22-year-old man died from his injuries. The condition of the second person was not immediately available.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man who died pending notification of his family.

Police said preliminary information indicated that alcohol appeared to be a factor in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
