[08-30-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – Elderly Man Killed After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 138 Near Phelan

A man died following a two-vehicle collision between his pickup truck and another vehicle on Highway 138 near Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Friday night, August 30, 2024.

According to California Highway Patrol logs, the crash was reported around 9:15 p.m. on the highway near Sayle Road, just south of Phelan.

First responders arrived at the scene to find a two-vehicle crash involving a Ford F-150 pickup truck that had overturned, trapping an elderly man inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No details have been released regarding the other involved vehicle or its driver. The identity of the man killed in the collision has not yet been released, pending positive identification and notification of family by San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.
