A pregnant woman sustained minor injuries after being rear-ended on the 14 Freeway in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on Friday night, August 29, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred while the woman and her partner were traveling home from dinner in separate vehicles.
Witnesses reported that the impact pushed the pregnant woman’s car into her partner’s vehicle, causing minor injuries to both her and the car occupants. Emergency personnel evaluated the woman at the scene and transported her for further medical observation.
The woman, identified as Sabrina R., experienced soreness and back pain but was reported to be in stable condition. An ultrasound performed after the crash confirmed that her unborn baby remained healthy and unharmed.
The partner, James A., recounted the collision as terrifying due to his personal history; in 2020, his then-pregnant wife was fatally struck by a driver in Anaheim. This time, James confirmed that everyone involved was safe.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the rear-end collision.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways.
