[08-28-2024] One Killed, Another Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 41One person was killed, and another was injured after a two-vehicle crash in Kings County on Wednesday night, August 28, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. north of Nevada Avenue.

Authorities stated that a 26-year-old man from Hanford was driving a tan Toyota Tacoma northbound on Highway 41 when a 22-year-old man from Arkansas, driving a white Toyota Rav4 southbound, veered into the northbound lane. The collision caused the Tacoma to overturn.

The driver of the Rav4 died at the scene, while the driver of the Tacoma sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene.

The reason for the 22-year-old driver’s sudden lane change is currently unknown, but CHP officials state that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
