[08-26-2024] One Killed, Another Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash in Thousand OaksOne person was killed, and another was injured after a two-vehicle crash on Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks on Monday afternoon, August 26, 2024.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, a 77-year-old man from Simi Valley, identified as Bob F., was traveling at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old man from Thousand Oaks. 

After the collision, the 77-year-old’s vehicle veered into the center median, collided with a tree, and then spun back onto the roadway before coming to rest. The vehicle that was rear-ended was pushed approximately 500 feet down the roadway.

First responders attempted life-saving efforts on the 77-year-old, who was transported to Los Robles Medical Center’s trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.

The 62-year-old driver of the rear-ended vehicle was treated for moderate injuries at the hospital and later released.
