A man driving a pickup truck was killed after crashing into the rear of a semi-trailer in Lancaster on Monday night, August 26, 2024.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. at 30th Street West and Avenue G.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the semi-trailer was headed north on 30th Street West and turning left onto Avenue G when the blue pickup, traveling east on Avenue G, collided with the rear of the semi.

The pickup driver suffered major trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire personnel.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
